Haven Cottage is a contemporary detached holiday cottage with garden, located just a short walk from the seafront in Port Isaac, North Cornwall. Port Isaac is a picturesque old-world fishing village on the north coast of Cornwall. It's name is derived from the old Cornish 'Porth Issec' meaning Corn Bay. It nestles in a valley between steep hills.
Even today Port Isaac is relatively unspoilt and has been little affected by change during it's six hundred years of history. Narrow alleys and streets give Port Isaac an air of enchantment, so different from anything you may find elsewhere. At the harbour (known as The Platt), local fishermen land their catch as they have done for centuries. You can, if you wish, meet the boats as they come in from the sea and buy fresh crab, lobster and mackeral, depending on what the catch has been. Port Isaac and neighbouring Port Gaverne are popular for swimming. For surfing, nearby Polzeath offers a magnificent stretch of golden sands. There are ample shopping facilities at Port Isaac including general stores, gift shops, local craft shops, Port Isaac pottery, clothes shops, beachwear shops, fresh fish market, pasty shops, local art shops, cafes, restaurants and old-world public houses. Sea fishing is available from off the rocks or from boats which may be hired locally. Miles of delightful coastal cliff walks and country lanes full of widflowers are on your doorstep, making this a delightful setting for your Cornish holiday.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

Haven Cottage, Port Isaac, North Cornwall is let from Sunday to Sunday, keys are made available from 3.30pm onwards on the first day of your holiday and the property is to be vacated by 10.30am on the last day of your holiday. The Cottage is contemporary and detached, offering spacious self catering for 6 guests near the seafront in Port Isaac, North Cornwall. Take a stroll down to Port Isaac Harbour, Shops, Pubs & Restaurants. The accommodation is also highly suited to the elderly or infirm.

GROUND FLOOR

Lounge - The lounge is spacious and has wooden laminate flooring, rug, armchair, two seater sofa, three seater sofa, pine display cabinet, occasional tables, stone fireplace with burner for logs or smokeless fuel, mirror, payphone, remote control TV/VCR and French Doors opening to the driveway at the front of the house.

Kitchen - The kitchen is light and airy and has a range of fitted units with integrated ariston oven, hob, fridge and freezer, tiled floor, 4 slice toaster, kettle and an ample supply of cutlery crockery, pots and pans for 6 guests. Archway leading to the dining room.

Dining Room - The dining room is a pleasant dining area overlooking the garden and has laminate wooden flooring, pine welsh dresser, radio, dining table & chairs for 6 and French Doors leading out to the lawned garden which has patio furniture, should you decide to dine alfresco.

Utility Room - The utilty room has a sink, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and door leading out to the back garden.

Ensuite Master Bedroom - The master bedroom has laminate wooden flooring, double bed, bedside tables, lamps, rug, pine dressing table with mirror & stool, pine wardrobe and fully tiled ensuite with double walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.

FIRST FLOOR

Double Bedroom - The double bedroom is carpeted and has a 4ft double bed, bedside tables, lamps, pine dressing table with mirror & stool, chest of drawers & pine wardrobe. There is a glimpse of the sea from the bedroom window.

Twin Bedroom - The twin bedroom is carpeted and has 2 single beds, bedside tables, lamps, pine chest of drawers & occasional chair. There are countryside views and partial views of the sea & cliffs over rooftops from the bedroom window.

Family Bathroom - The family bathroom has a bath, wash basin & WC.

REAR GARDEN - The garden is laid to lawn with wrougnt iron patio furniture, should you decide to dine alfresco. There are 3 steps up to the garden.

ELECTRICITY - Electricity is included in the rental tariff.

BED LINEN - Duvets are provided. Bed Linen is available upon request (There is a surcharge of £4 per person, please state if required on booking form).

CENTRAL HEATING - The property benefits from central heating throughout.

DOUBLE GLAZING - The property benefits from being double glazed throughout.

PARKING - There is parking for up to 3 cars in the driveway.

NO SMOKING - There is a strict no smoking policy in Haven Cottage.

NO PETS - Pets are not accepted at Haven Cottage.

NO CHILDREN UNDER 3 (EXCEPT CARRYCOTS) - Regretfully the owner does not accept children under 3 years of age, except small babies in carrycots.
