PRIME LOCATION IN EAST LOOE
Osborne House is an immaculately presented grade 2 listed Cornish town house. This magnificent 350 year old property provides stylish accommodation for parties of up to twelve and is ideal for two families looking to share a delightful holiday together. Set right in the heart of Looe town centre, tucked away within the fascinating narrow harbourside streets of the old town, less than a minute's walk to the beach, harbour, shops, pubs & restaurants. Osborne House is in a prime spot with two parking spaces, located just a few paces from the sandy beach and harbour in Looe.
Looe is a historic fishing port with quaint streets, harbour, sandy beach, hidden coves & its own island. Nearby Polperro is a picturesque Cornish fishing village, with whitewashed cottages overlooking the harbour, famed for its history of fishing & smuggling. The popular heritage Museum at Polperro has old photos & exhibits on display.
Looe Island lies about one mile off the south Cornwall coast near Looe - it is of outstanding natural beauty, of 22.5 acres in area and one mile in circumference. The highest point is 150 feet above sea level.. The island has magnificent sea and coastal views stretching from Prawle Point in Devon to the Lizard Peninsula. With frost and snow virtually unknown it has an exceptionally mild climate. Daffodils bloom at Christmas and, unlike most small islands, it is partly wooded. A natural sanctuary for sea and woodland birds and one time haunt to smugglers, its known history includes a Benedictine chapel built in 1139 of which only a few stones remain visible. Legend has it that Joseph of Arimethea landed here with the child Christ.
